Both my offers say pending. One I can modify and one I cannot.
Does that mean they might accept the one that I can’t modify?

I had the same issue...on the one it doesn't appear you can modify, click on the Room Type.  It is a link (although it doesn't appear as one).

Yes, vould be.

With ours, initially,  both of my bids said pending. Later, I could update one...but not the other. A few days later, the one I could modify changed to ' expired'. A week or so after that,  the 'pending ' one froze, I couldn't then change my bid...but it still said pending.AKept checking, and about 10 days later, I got the ' congratulations' email saying they had accepted our bid, and had been upgraded..

It is likely they are considering  your 'frozen' bid, but looking at earlier posts- there are no guarantees until they actually  charge your card and send the email! Keep checking, good luck !

Ship:equinox

sail date October 28

Cabin booked: veranda guarantee

Email received 8/17

bid on ultra deluxe veranda $175

bid on sunset veranda $200

currently assigned 6188, obstructed view

don’t really expect either bid to be accepted, but I figured why not try. I’d be delighted to get the upgrade, but if I don’t I’ll still be on a ship on the sea and having a wonderful vacation

Great prices on some nice cabins. Which one are you unable to modify? Good luck!

Does anyone have any idea why they would offer MoveUp bid opportunities for suite categories that don't appear to be available on their website?

There can be last minute cancellations, plus sometimes people in suites are upgraded to better suites, freeing up their previous suites.

General comments:

Cruise showed very full but I noticed Royal suite, 2 Aqua Class rooms, & 1 OV open up very recently.

We were supposed to take this same cruise last year but we moved + my Mother became very ill and we had to cancel.  Since we elected cruise care insurance, this cruise is only costing us Sales Tax & Port fees.  BTW - this was the only time in the past 12 years that we ever purchased the Insurance. 🙂

Well, my cabin number has changed in the app, but no email yet. I’m not going celebrate quite yet, but I’m much more hopeful now😁

We never got the congratulations email. We saw our credit card charged and the room number changed. I think you're safe to let the celebration begin!🥂

Ship:  Ascent

Cruise Sail Date: Dec 17, 2023

Date email offer received: none, I checked online and it was available

Captain’s Club Tier [“PREVIEW” = first Celebrity Cruise]: Preview

Booked through Celebrity Direct OR via TA: TA

Current Cabin: Infinite Veranda (got assigned an obstructed view room)

Bid? Yes/No: unsure

Didn't bid yet but below are what's minimum ($CAD):

Concierge Class - $135

Sky Suite - $1010

Aqua Sky Suite - $1060

Sunset Sky Suite - $1060

Celebrity Suite - $1585

Royal Suite - $2495

Edge Villa - $3120

General Comments (offer details, etc.)

There seems to be a lot of rooms available on this sailing and with only 3 months out I'm not sure how much more would be sold.

Ideally we want to get the Aqua Class room but we're scared of being assigned an obstructed view room so not sure if we'll bid...

My first time trying to bid.

Ship: Silhouette

Sail date 6 Nov 2023

Length: 10 nights

We are in prime inside and 300 usd pp was the minimum bid for consierge sunset veranda.

Sounds very good deal.

Especially after we managed to reprice our original reservation for 200 usd lower.

I love these opportunities at Celebrity.

Keep us posted, I’m on the same cruise and just bid. The cruise looks full with only inside cabins for sale. I hope people get upgraded to even larger suites to make room for our bids.

Aqua Sky Suite would include Blu and Retreat with the spa pass and Luminae. The website says includes tips and premium Wi-Fi, however with a move up I don’t think so. Just making sure I understand. That’s a low amount for a lot of amenities.

If accepted they take the additional gratuities and your move up $$s on your Visa card at the same time.  Sometimes the IT staff will upgrade you to Premium WiFi if you ask.
