RECENT PREMIER CRUISERS ?

Hello,

Its been years since our first and last premier cruise.  Our experience we found the casino to be overly packed on these premier cruises, the table stakes were higher cost and the slots much tighter.  We loved the goodies, the priority disembarkation/embarkation doesn't make a difference for us as we are platinum anyways, but the extra treats are nice....there were alot of drawings which by the way we got nothing during that 8 night cruise.

We do have some questions for those who taken recent premier cruises:

1-  Did you also find the slots to be tighter, or did you not notice any difference?

2-  Did any of you win any of the drawings, if so, what did you win?

3-  What are the latest gifts that were given to you when you arrive to your room?

4-  I read now they give you a goodbye gift, what did you get?

5-  Putting aside the free room, would you take another premier cruise?

DH and I just returned this morning from a Premier Cruise on the Miracle and had a great time. We have done a number of Premier Cruises before on Carnival and Holland America. This was our 35th cruise on Carnival, 49th cruise overall, and 2nd on the Miracle. There was a welcome cocktail party at 5:30pm the day of sailing with free cocktails and delicious appetizers. There were about 200 Premier cruisers on this sailing. I received $1,000 in cash (the Miracle isn't set up yet for Fun Play, so we still received cash). Drawings were held everyday, but I didn't win anything. The first place winner in the Premier slot tournament could choose between a free cruise or $500 - don't know what the winner selected. We received something every day from the Casino, mostly food like cookies, chocolate truffles, chocolate covered strawberries, etc., plus a blanket. I also received a free bottle of wine and could pick it up in the dining room and there were 6 or 7 choices. I didn't notice the slots being any tighter than on the first time on the Miracle - up and down all week. The table game minimum bets were the same as on any Carnival cruise and not higher at all. Our cabin was not free, but we did receive a good price on it. DH also received free drinks in the casino all week. We would definitely do another Premier Cruise again.

The Miracle was in great shape, the food was good, and the crew was excellent and very friendly. As always, embarkation and debarkation at the Port of Tampa was fast and efficient.

I recently did an 8 day Premier on the Conquest on April 13.  I have done many Premier cruises.  I found the slots to be very crowded and about the same as any other cruise I have been on.  I did not win any jackpots but saw many people that did. I was next to a man who bet 60 cents and won the GRAND jackpot of $2,000.  I saw someone hit $4000 and $8000 on poker machines.  Someone hit $10,000 on a slot.  I sat next to another winner who won on the golden buffalo slot, he had 76 free spins and won almost $5000.  Neither me or my husband got called for any of the drawings and we were in the casino for all of them.  We received two decks of Carnival playing cards, two Tervis tumblers, one back pack, a gift box of chocolate caramels, a bottle of champagne, the choc covered strawberries and cookies.  I am not sure if these were Premier gifts or Diamond/Platinum gifts.  I will continue to do the Premier cruises as I get the free cabin and casino cash.  Going on another Premier on May 12 and hopefully I will get called for something.  On past Premiers we have been called for Matilda the cash cow, shoot to win, cash pong, dodge the bull, fill my bag, Hi-Lo promotion, hot seat promotion and the snowball raffle..  You just have to be lucky to get your name called.  There are many people that get called more than once.  Some nights the casino host had to call 10 names before she would be able to get someone present in the casino.

I always do premiers!! Deff more crowded which i love. Plays to your advantage. Days your losing a crowded casino makes u play slower and save $ while days ur winning a crowded casino is nice because the slots are being turned over faster.

As for gifts got a towel. Cookies. A yearly planner. Duffle bag and candy

Love the party on sailaway day at 530. Free drinks and appetizers while meeting all the hosts and casino invite players

Won 600$ in cash pong and hot seat promo for 100$

Won a total of 4500$ profit on the last premire on Horizon and now leave in 2 weeks...

For a Free Oceanview on the New Sunrise for 14 days and 1000$ casino cash.

Yes i will do premire!!!

We just did a Premier cruise on the Magic during the first week of April.

1.  We didn't find the slots to be any tighter than normal.  Par for the course for us is...I always lose, my husband always wins.   That was about it this time, too!  (In fact, I played more, so I even won a little more this time...see #2)

2.  YES.   I won one of the evening raffles.  I won free gameplay...I can't believe it, but I can't remember how much it was???  I think it was $500 in free gameplay (which meant I got to play more...wooo hooo!!!)

3 &4.  Cheapo plastic sunglasses mailed to us pre-cruise.   Premier black lanyards. Beach towels delivered to the room a few days in.  Chocolate covered caramels, a bottle of champagne, and also a card for a bottle of wine in the dining room.  (plus we're platinum so we got tervis tumblers and chocolate covered strawberries also).  Sorry...I don't recall the timing of the gifts.

5.  Yes, we definitely would.  We sort of stumbled into this one.   We were already booked, and then when I was putting in for a price drop, my PVP called and said he had an even better casino deal for us.  He didn't say "Premier" so we didn't realize it was a Premier cruise.  We were booked in 2 rooms (me, my husband, and our 3  kids.).   Not knowing that we would both have "drinks on us" (since we didn't know it was a Premier cruise), I went ahead and bought Cheers for myself.   That ended up being kind of a waste.  So next time around, I'd love to know in advance it was Premier so we could plan on both having the Drinks on Us!
