You can book your meals online in the usual way. The only problem is if you want to book Moderno, as there is the fixed fee for this which is charged at booking

You can avoid this prepayment if you have the dining package, by making sure that you book any places with a fixed charge first. Otherwise wait until you are onboard. There are more details on this in the link in my signature.

As for the behind the scenes tour, you book this with the CruiseNext rep. It is unlikely that your kids will be able to attend, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Our son was allowed along once, when there were only a few platinums onboard. Usually they don't allow any  non platinums to tag along as the tours are quite full with platinums.

You should book your dinners exactly 120 prior to cruise (130 day in suites),,, just like any other specialty dining.

Reservations for the BTS tour are done early on embarkation day at the Cruise Next counter in the Atrium. Talk to them about your kids, they may allow them to tag along. Remember, you must wear close-toed shoes and be able to climb a few flights of stairs. The Platinum tours are run by Cruise Next. They are NOT run by ShoreEx and are different (less) than the paid ShoreEx tours.

Don't forget that each platinum member gets a free bag of laundry. You can ask CruiseNext for a second coupon or just write PLATINUM across the front of the laundry receipt.

I think the "Behind the Scenes" tour is booked via "Cruise Next" desk.  I know that space is limited.  So, not sure about bringing along children.  Check when booking.  It's a good tour, BTW and a nice "perk".

As far as booking the dinner perks, I've always had best luck in going directly to the particular restaurant hostess to get my preferred booking times.

Be sure to wright "Platinum-no charge" on the outside of your free laundry bag.  And, the cloth bags hold more than the paper bags.  See if you can secure a cloth one.

Recently they've wanted you to sign up for the Plat BTS tour the first night at the cruisenext desk by a certain time.  As far as kids, I've never seen any and the voucher/invite says non-transferable or something like that.  However, there was a recent thread where someone mentioned they have taken their kid(s).

True if you do NOT have a dining package and want to eat at Moderno for your Platinum meal. You could always wait until you are on the ship. All other Platinum restaurants are a la carte.

Welcome to the family.  We will be on this same cruise with you, just booked it on Thursday and I have been rushing around trying to confirm all other details, flight, hotel, etc.

We have found that they do not release all dinner reservations online and we have had great success getting what we want when we get on board.

Laundry is our favorite perk, it cuts down on what we have to pack because we can wear stuff twice, roll your clothes military style to get more in each bag.  Followed by priority boarding.  Also, eat the strawberries right away, they weep if left too long.

We are not taking the ship's tour so two less platinum to compete with.

See you there!
