Beach

Can you use the beach at the cruise port?  I can't find any into on this.  I know there are local beaches we can take a taxi to but my kids aren't really into sitting on a beach all day.  I'm just hoping for an hour or so.

There are loungers and man- made beach areas but no actual beach at the port.

 

Beaches are a 5 minute taxi away ($8 each way).

There is hardly any beach at the port of Costa Maya but there are a lot of things to do with your kids in the port. There is a huge swimming pool, there are dolphins, there is zip line ( yes, they are all in the port), there are flamingos....If you end up deciding to go to any of the beaches, they are very close and just $8 pp taxi ride, each way.

It is just at the terminal. A 5 minutes walk from the ship. You have to go through that area anyways. From there you choose whether you want to stay in the port area, or take a taxi to the beaches.

The man made "beach", which are just some chairs around the pool, sitting on a very thin layer of hard sand (nothing you could play in).
