Enjoying your review as usual.

Although I haven’t been on CC for 5 years I have read all of your reviews and like others feel I “know “ your family. My thoughts have been with you the past few days.

Jeff...pictures are wonderful...love Ensenada....have stayed there several times and stopped several times on a cruise....I grew up in San Diego and brother now lives in Baja....so Patti's pictures just made my day!!   BTW....two good Mexican beers...Pacifico...and Carta Blanca!

Thanks! I have tried both of those Mexican beers you mentioned. Excellent! :classic_biggrin:

"....any more kids into the hot tubs." So true! I love the short cruises on the little ships, but, man, the number of kids on board can be insane!

It's nice to see Patti lets you use her camera. lol

Wait until you see the pictures. Normally I only get to touch the camera when I'm downloading the pictures. :classic_biggrin:

Great pics....the Inspiration looks amazing after her upgrade.

Please be sure and tell Patti she looks FABULOUS!  Not sure what she did or what her secret is but WOW and I like that she allows herself pina colada and other tempting treats!

Patti says Thanks!!! :classic_biggrin:

Day # 8  (April 25th)  -  Fun Day at Sea.

Here are today’s Fun Times…..

IMG_5509.3-X2.jpg

We were up at 7 am to a cloudy and hazy day. It was our last day on the Inspiration and we had yet to hear about the Diamond event with the Captain. I called Guest Services to ask about it and I was told that the Diamond event was held the day we were in Catalina. I told them that we were disappointed since we were never given an invitation.

Once again, as Patti was drying her hair, we lost power to the cabin. We made another call to Guest Services to send maintenance to our cabin.  He reset the breaker again and explained to us that there are four cabins for each breaker, and if two or more people are drying their hair at the same time the breaker will trip. This has never happened before in our over fifty cruises, and I suggested to him that maybe you ought to replace that breaker. Geez, this day isn’t starting so well.

We are planning to head to the Sea Day Brunch today, but first Patti wants to check out the arts & crafts scheduled this morning. I would head to the Red Frog Rum Bar for a few beers. They were making Mother’s Day cards today…..

Afterwards, Patti collected me and we made it down to the brunch in the Mardi Gras Dining Room…..

IMG_5511-X2.jpg

We both had fruit plates to start…..

IMG_5526-X2.jpg

We got our free drinks using our coupons…..

This is what I had…..

IMG_5569-X2.jpg

Patti and I went to check out the Love and Marriage Show with Ryan Rose…..

IMG_5573-X2.jpg

We hung around for the big bingo of the cruise, which of course, we didn’t come close to winning.

Afterwards we went back to the cabin to begin our packing. This was our final towel creation of this cruise…..

We thought about going to YTD tonight, since Guest Services had sent us two vouchers for free Steakhouse Selections to make up for us “missing” the Diamond event.

IMG_5575

However, when we got there the line to get in was crazy long, so we decided to go eat up on the Lido.

After we ate we took one last walk around the ship. Lisette and Tyler were playing in the Atrium…..

IMG_5582-X2.jpg

2Notes was playing at the Casino Bar…..

IMG_5585-X2.jpg

We passed by the Bonsai Sushi Express….

IMG_5591-X2.jpg

IMG_5590-X2.jpg

IMG_5588-X2.jpg

Motor City was being performed in the Paris Lounge…..

IMG_5593-X2.jpg

IMG_5599-X2.jpg

Back in the Candlelight Lounge, Comedy Club host Brooke is introducing tonight’s first act, Shayma Tash…..

IMG_5607-X2.jpg

IMG_5608-X2.jpg

IMG_5609-X2.jpg

Back to the cabin to finish packing, put the luggage out in the hall, and call it a cruise.

Coming up next:  Goodbye Inspiration, hello Queen Mary!

Hope Patti didn't eat any of that "Chocolate mouse cake". I know I don't like mice in my chocolate cake!🤣Sorry, this comment should have been in the picture below.

Heather, I would be more worried if it was chocolate "moose" cake! :classic_biggrin:

Day # 9  (April 26th)  -  Back in Long Beach.

We awoke at 7 am to find that we were already docked back in Long Beach. Here is the General Debarkation Information…..

Here is our Diamond Debarkation Information…..

IMG_5612-X2.jpg

We decided to skip breakfast this morning. We are not carrying our own luggage off, so at 8:15 am we vacate our cabin and head for the Library to wait. They have coffee and Danish there for us.

At 9 am we were allowed to debark the ship. Ryan Rose was at the gangway saying goodbye to everyone. We made the long walk across the bridge, into the dome, and down the ramps until we reached the baggage area. Finding our bags was easy since almost everyone carried their own bags off.

We will be spending today and tonight across the parking lot at the Queen Mary. I was hoping to have Big Al take our luggage over but he wasn’t available. However, Big JD jumped in and grabbed our bags. We are heading over to the Queen Mary…..

Since we are so early our cabin is not ready. They sore our luggage for us, and give us a faux key card so that we can be recognized as hotel guests. They will call us when our cabin is ready. We are here…..

Following along! I was so happy to see a post on another thread where you mentioned your review. I’ve been waiting (not so patiently—Lol) for it ever since I heard you were sailing to Hawaii for your 25th Anniversary. And the extra bonus of this shorter cruise was fabulous! My hubby and I are celebrating our 50th Anniversary in March, and had a cruise booked for April 11 for an 8 day on the Magic. After much discussion, we felt that wasn’t enough celebrating, so we added a week on, April 5, to make it a B2B, because these milestone anniversaries require a whole lot more celebrating! We are actually going to drive to Ft Lauderdale, so we are even leaving one week early, and rented a cottage in Florida before boarding our ship. We also added a cruise in February on the Glory out of NOLA, and heading there 3 days prior. I am so excited to be following along on yours and Patti’s  celebration!
