Just some thoughts about aft cabins.  Many find them desirable because its easy to get to the food venues.  Personally we try to avoid far aft cabins on most ships including Princess.  The reality is that many ships will have some "shimmy" and even vibration from the props.  That shimmy motion is something we have never enjoyed.  Our favorite cabins are near the bow because there are few major mechanical systems towards the bow and there is relatively little foot traffic (in the corridor) if you are forward of the forward elevators.  Forward cabins are certainly subject to more pitching motion in rough seas, but DW and I find that kind of motion relaxing and it actually puts us asleep (like being in a rocking chair).  We generally avoid cabins above, below, or near public venues and always avoid cabins directly under the pool deck.  Normally we prefer to be surrounded by other passenger cabins.

I did not really think that bow-ties would be so controversial. 🤣 I do think they're cool, and , I did enjoy the show Dr. Who back then...

Hey all...thanks for all the info!!  BFF and I are sailing on the CP 13July sailing...a last minute booking since Carnival canceled our Vista sailing because of mechanical issues.  I've only been on one other Princess cruise back in 2011 and we went through a terrible storm from Vancouver, BC to Long Beach, CA on a 3-day repositioner.  Needless to say, it wasn't the greatest experience (I think I could handle the storm...I'm probably still a little pissed at all the money I donated in the casino! 😮) Anyhoo...I'm really excited for this change of itinerary. Would any of you have any relatively recent "Princess Patters" you can scan and post so I can get a little bit of an idea what kind of daily activities we can enjoy?  Part of me just wants to wait and be surprised, but another part of me is sitting here twiddling my thumbs in overwhelming anticipation for embarkation!  Anyway, thanks in advance.

Why such a reaction to someone- CruiseVA- wearing a bow tie?

Both my father and father in law ,executives in the banking business ,often wore bow 

ties to work. They both sported the look very nicely.

My DH used to wear a bow tie with a vested suit in the 80’s. It was a good look for him too.

Now that vested suits are back in style, I can see where men would choose a bow tie to complete the outfit.
