DirtyDawg Posted May 25, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 25, 2019 Intensely Cleansing Salt Scrub What type of salt do they scrub on you? And how much do people pay for this scrubbing? Hmmm? This could possibly be a great new business opportunity. I've got a lot of road salt left over from this past winter.

I hate the sales pitch and write on my form that I did not want any. that they can give me a card if they wish. i feel like it ruins the spa treatment for me. I did get a decent price though. have you had it before?
spookwife Posted May 25, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 25, 2019 in my more foolish days, yes. they basically tell you when you fill out the little paperwork that the treatment you have chosen is not what your body needs according to how you filled it out and they upsell you a different option, and then try and get you to book 3 more sessions to 'get the full benefit' any at home olive oil and coarse salt scrub does the same thing as the pricy on board version. its also very..weird.. they give you these paper panties to put on before they apply the scrub. then you have to figure out how to shower it all off in a tube( same size as the cabin showers., if not smaller)
matj2000 Posted May 25, 2019 #6 Share Posted May 25, 2019 Stay away from the stupid Gimmicky things they offer. I have never heard of "cleansing salt scrub" of know nothing about it. But I can pretty much guarantee you that it will not do any of the things they claim it does. And it is probably expensive..

SRF Posted May 27, 2019 #8 Share Posted May 27, 2019 I have not done it on board, but I have had it done a number of times on land. They use a fairly coarse salt in oil. There is some abrasive feel, but it feels really great after. The scrub your body with the salt scrub, then you wash it off. Many times, they will do a light massage, spreading lotion over your body. I like a good massage after.
