Anyone arrive by cruise ship & take the local bus to the red and/or black beach in Santorini?

Worth it? How long is the ride?

Thank you.

No, we haven't done that, but did want to let you know about the "logistics" at Santorini, which we have visited.  The island is part of the rim of a long-ago volcano and thus is very steep above the water.  One has to tender to the dock and then either walk or take the mechanized transport (can't remember if it's a tram or what) UP to where the town of Fira sits.  You then can catch the bus rom up there to the beach.  So you'll have to account for the time that takes, especially when planning your return from the beach.  See attached map that also has lots of info about beaches, other sights, etc.
