TheChiefNL Posted June 11, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2019 Hi all, August this year we go on our first cruise. We had some sort of early booking deal where the drinks are included. But since it's our first cruise were newbies... So is the content of the minibar included in the signature beverage package? Or if you order drinks with roomservice, are they included? Can you take drinks from the lido Market to your room? If so, do you get them in those drink cups with an anti spil cap? And can you take food from the lido to your room on a plate ore tray? Thanks for the reply! TheChiefNL
Rare Cruise Raider Posted June 11, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2019 No, the mini bar items are not included in your drink package and neither are any drinks you order through room service. Of course, you can take food or a drink to your room with you. The only drinks I've seen with a anti-spill lid is coffees / teas and the like. However, all cruiselines under the Carnival (CCL) umbrella are trying to eliminate single serve plastic items so not sure how they are going to handle this. And can you take food from the lido to your room on a plate ore tray? Welcome to Cruise Critic! Here is our Crew News', Roger Jett's photo of the Beverage Packages T&C from spring 2018-- note the SBP limit is $11 now, not $9. Per the fifth bullet Mini Bar and room service are not covered by any package. As far as food/beverages from the buffet, yes you may take them to your room (or any place else). There are no trays though! I don't remember if there are "to go cups" in the Lido, there were at the Exploration Cafe... There are Go Cups of a couple styles for sale at ExCafe and in the gift shop, or be like my mom and bring your own! Don't put your dirty dishes in the hall, your room steward will take them away. Krazy Kruizers Posted June 11, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2019 You can use the tray under your ice bucket in your cabin.

fatcat04 Posted June 11, 2019 #9 Share Posted June 11, 2019 Also, you are allowed one bottle of wine per adult 21+ for in cabin consumption with no extra charge. Should you wish to take on more or wish to drink your wine outside your cabin, an $18 per bottle corkage fee will be added. We had the higher tier Elite package (which you can upgrade to btw if you think the up to $15 per beverage options more suits your needs) and still took some extra bubbly on for Gala night fun and a couple bottles to enjoy on our balcony. 🍾
crystalspin Posted June 12, 2019 #10 Share Posted June 12, 2019 If you want to upgrade to Elite (for more/better wines and HIGH end scotch, almost everything else is covered as you can see on Roger's menus) -- do it with a bartender BEFORE you have used the SBP. If the first bartender is not willing to do this, go to another bar! This is what others have experienced.
TheChiefNL Posted June 16, 2019 Author #11 Share Posted June 16, 2019 Again thanks for the reply's very helpful! Great website from Roger, http://www.rogerjett-photography.com/specialty-2 And about that service charge, in the terms from post #3 there is a line: A 15% service charge will be automatically applied to your purchase. Does that mean dat you pay for every drink that 15%? So when you disembark you pay that service charge? Or do you pay it from out the package? And when you pay it from you package, is the total price than 9,- usd including the service charge?

As long as your drinks are $9 or less you will not incur any other charges (unless you exceed the limit of course 😉 )

fatcat04 Posted June 16, 2019 #14 Share Posted June 16, 2019 And also, the retail price per drink allowance for the Signature Beverage Pkg increased from $9 to $11 recently so that opens up a few more menu options.
