Bringing wine on-board RC

Have not cruised RC in some time.Years ago on the Jewel we were allowed to bring 1 bottle of wine each on board at each port.Is this still allowed.Thanks

Currently you may bring 2 bottles of wine at embarkation but not at other ports.  Alcohol purchased in port is usually stored by the ship and returned to you at the end of the cruise.

I went to the Royal Caribbean website and found: 

On boarding day, guests may bring onboard two (2) 750 ml bottles of personal wine or champagne per stateroom in their carry-on luggage. If more than two bottles of wine or champagne are brought onboard, including any alcoholic beverages purchased in ports-of-call or in our onboard shops, they will be stored by the ship and delivered to your stateroom on your last day onboard.

Guests on consecutive cruises may bring two (2) 750 ml bottles of personal wine or champagne per voyage, per stateroom. Additional bottles will be stored by the ship and two bottles at a time will be delivered to the stateroom on the first day of each new voyage. Guests bringing more than two bottles at the start of the first sailing should have documentation for any consecutive sailings available to share with security on boarding day.

And yes, two bottles total per room, brought in carry-on luggage, on embarkation day only.

Note that it is only wine and not any type of  alcohol.

Recently cruised Oasis out of Barcelona. 

 

Had Drinks' package as travelling in group, so didn't try to take any wine aboard.

 

However, just thinking about it, wasn't asked about wine at check in and didn't notice any tables set up to hand in alcohol bought at ports. That could have been because I wasn't looking !!

That is also what we found boarding in Barcelona.  As soon as you clear the security bag check there is a wine shop  and a alcohol shop just before the escalators that take you up. Lat trip we bought 2 bottles of wine and a bottle of Absolute from the shops, no checking after leaving the store,  we had our 2 allowable bottles tucked away in our carryon, the three bottles we bought we carried on using the plastic bags from the store selling alcohol.  happy cruising
