Can you sightsee after you embark? Ship doesn't leave til 7pm so if on by noon, can have lunch and then leave for a few hours?

It is normal that you cannot leave an NCL ship after you have embarked on embarkation day

You can drop your bags off and not board, if that is what you are asking.

You can check in, go to your cabin, drop off your stuff and then go explore Honolulu to your heart's content. Two things to remember be back on board in time for the muster drill, or all aboard time, which is usually 30 minutes before sailing. Since you have already checked the requirement that you be on board two hours prior to sailing has been met.

 

NCL does not have any rule that prevents you from leaving the ship after check in.

You could go give your bags to a porter then go explore then come back and actually embark. Just make sure you’re there in time for muster
