Best Manhattan Marriott?

Thanks to all of you for your suggestions and tips!  We are planning to stay at JW Marriott Essex House.  I think we really just wanted something more quiet than Times Square.  Things may change in the next 11 months, but at least we are holding a room.  I love all the help I get on CC.  😊

I'm not sure that's really a quiet area.  Yes, more quiet than Times Square, but it's right on Central Park South, where all the horse carriages pick up tours, and it's a very busy 2 way street.

 

Great hotel, but not quiet

Compared to Times Square it's a quieter area, but it's not as much quieter as the UWS or TriBeCa (where we stay) is.

 

If the concern is traffic, noise, and crowds, the Central Park South area where the Essex House is located, is still pretty busy
