Seaside Yacht Club Dining Room was a HUGE let Down

It sounds like a lot of the issues that were experienced last year might be working themselves out this year.

I wonder how much of this is a combination of a brand new ship class sailing what is essentially a new route for the company dealing with a new clientele, hence some headaches over cultural differences, and I wonder if time has allowed it all to smooth over a bit?

Seaside has been here long enough to get most of situations ironed out.  Difference in the YC dining room could be attributed to different Maitre D and new servers.  Also, some expect more than others or do not know what to expect. We have seen lots of improvements since our first sailing on Seaside Jan, 2018.  Have been again 5 times since then so have seen a lot!!!

But what restaurant isn't going to be impacted by an influx of new staff and/or a new Maitre d'?  What's most important is that you have a cruise line that recognizes when there are problems and don't let it persist for too long, and it sounds like MSC is working hard to keep a high quality of product, especially in the YC, even if that means they make some mistakes and have to correct them from time to time.

I think that if he assisted to turn a table around when they were backed up, the strain might have killed him ....

LOL!  That's what impressed us about Yulia!  She would seat a table, turn around and pour water for another table and then bus and set a table; all with a constant smile!

Yulia in March was great.  Her replacement in June not so much.

She was looking forward so much to seeing her son!  Hope she comes back.  The position of the Asst. Maitre d has not been easy to fill with any competence since March of 2018.

This.

One of the things that really negatively impacted the service we received in Meraviglia's Top Sail Lounge was the lack of peripheral vision and multitasking of most of the butlers.

Seems to me everyone remembers Yulia, at least the ones of us who were lucky to meet her on our cruises.  She was great.
