CruisingNole Posted July 2, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2019 Not a single NCL ship in any category. What say you? https://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/cruiserschoice_index.cfm Cruise Critic Cruisers' Choice Awards 2019 Rankings are based on ratings given by our members in published member reviews; awards are based on 2018 cruise reviews. Ships must have a minimum number of member reviews and ratings in a particular category in order to be included in that category's top 10 list. Ship size is designated as follows: Large ships: 2,000+ passengers (double occupancy) Mid-size ships: 1,200 - 1,999 passengers (double occupancy) Small-mid ships: 400 - 1,199 passengers (double occupancy) Small ships: 399 or fewer passengers (double occupancy) Ratings shown have been rounded to the first decimal place, although they are calculated to the 8th decimal place and ordered as such; in the unlikely event of an exact tie, tied ships will instead order by the highest number of records entered, then alphabetically. mugtech Posted July 2, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 2, 2019 Not surprising that RCI and Celebrity dominated many of the categories. Thought NCL might be listed somewhere under service.
roxette Posted July 2, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 2, 2019 I don't think these awards makes any sense at all. Most people who vote, have only cruised one, perhaps, two ships that year. How can compare all different ships in that case? If I go, on say Carnival Vista and give it top grade, how can know it is the best? If I also cruised on ten other ships that year, my ratings would probably be different. So to speak.
mugtech Posted July 2, 2019 #5 Share Posted July 2, 2019 No surprising that Oasis class, the biggest cruise ships in the world, got so many votes. All ships 2,000 pax or more in the same category makes no sense.
Rare PhillyTravelBug Posted July 2, 2019 #6 Share Posted July 2, 2019 I have really been curious about Celebrity. I went on one about 20 years ago, but seems they are doing something right.

Birdie And Sue Posted July 3, 2019 #8 Share Posted July 3, 2019 These polls are merely a list of opinions and we all know what they say about opinions, right?

This topic has been covered before. No reason to start a new thread. these lists are fun to read but don't put too much into the results.
