Casino drinks included

I booked my cruise with a casino rate with drinks included while in the casino. We enjoy a few drinks and I do not plan on staying in the casino all the time. Can I go play and get my drink and then leave? Can I continue to do this for my drinks? Do you recommend just buying the drink package?

You can sit at a slot machine and order your drink, tip the waiter and then leave for dinner or whatever.  Some people do.  Most get a casino rate because they have enjoyed playing in the casino and actually doing some gambling.

If you just order drinks and don't gamble, you probably won't get another offer for a casino fare.

Do one or the other.  You would be limited to 15 alcohol drinks per drink  in total if you have both.

Yes, it's no problem to get your drink and then leave. We'll often play in the casino inbetween trivia sessions and I'll order a drink to take with me. As long as you're playing when you order/get the drink, there's no issue.

You can also sit at a machine, put in a bit of money, play really s-l-o-w-l-y (hitting the button only when you feel like it) to get your drinks.

When I am "drinking" in the casino (my focus is on enjoying some cocktails and not playing), I tend to play low and slow. They offer the free drinks to loosen you up, I counter act that by being tighter when I'm drinking (when i'm not drinking though, I am a slot junkie).

Just off the Sunrise. Bar service in the casino was one of the worst. Waited and hour plus to get a drink. Good luck. We were part of an Ultra casino cruise-should have staffed it better.

This is misleading.  You will be limited to 15 alcohol drinks with EITHER Drinks on Us in the casino or the Cheers package.  Paying as you go is not limited in any way.

To the OP - yes, you can go to the casino, order, get your drink and leave.  If you are a beer drinker you can order one, then order another 15 minutes later and take them to the room fridge and come back up and do it again.   They don't care, just will limit you to 15 per day.  Once you hit 10 there will be a number at the bottom of your receipt indicating what # you are on for the day.  The day runs from 6am to 6am.  Enjoy your cruise!

Not misleading, if you have both, you are still maxed at 15 drinks.

You stated "Do one or the other" and implied by having both you are limited to 15 drinks.  I was attempting to clear up that you are limited to 15 drinks if you have DOU, if you have Cheers or yes, if you have both.

Can I purchase drinks outside of the casino? I understand regardless it is a 15 drink minimum but wondering if I can purchase a drink somewhere else on the ship?

Yes. At every bar they will run your folio # on the sail and sign card.  In the casino, during operational hours, the charge will be $0.

If you are on a casino sponsored event ie Premier, Ultra drinks have to be in the casino. Elite is all over the ship.

Dear LPut714,

Hi Deck MATE!

Yes it was one of the worst ever wait times for a casino Bar Waiter.

Average for us was 49 minutes. This one item I did bring up to the HotMan (Hotel Manager) when he called me for our meeting. Another was running out of products, and even drink mixes . I told him it was Pee Pot Poor Mangement.

I think one reason why staffing is a major problem is the SMOKE Filled Casino!

So many staff on even other ships complain of cancer risks.

One waiter did suggest if i wanted my normal drink  Double Jack Straight Up , I should wait five minutes and re-ordrer.

You may know on English ships and in the UK a Rum and Coke are actually two! Cunard does this even though it is an American line (Carnival).

On that I had to go to the server station at the bar..lol

Carnival Corp is dual listed so not strictly American.
