Magic dock time in Fort Lauderdale

Last time I was on the Magic we docked at about 5am. Everything I got from Carnival is saying around 8am. Just trying to figure out the best time to grab a rental car and drive to Port Canaveral to jump on the breeze.

I am not sure what time we docked, but I recently cruised on the Magic out of Fort Lauderdale.  I had FTTF and went to the theater at 6:30 am and was off of the ship at 7:30 am.

Sunday (or what ever day it was)  she came into port at 5:14 am

Was just on Magic as well.  We walked to the elevators at 7:00AM and were off around 7:30AM, with a long line at customs already but it wasn't terrible (no FTTF but we just told them we had an early flight).
