Slots in Casino

How do you play the slots in the casino’s on Celebrity ships? Do you insert your Sea Pass card, where each go is charged to that? Or do you load credit to some other card, specifically for use on slots.

Need to know now as my wife is threatening to let loose!!

One night on our cruise on Equinox in January 2019, all +18 guests received 5$ free casino credit. Those were loaded on our Seapass, so I suppose "real" casino credit is as well. You insert the Seapass into the card reader on the slot machine, and we were asked if we wanted to use our "promo credit".

don't know if it's different now, but a few years ago on our Alaska cruise on the Solstice it was cash based slots, and credits were on your seapass card.

Last year we did a Princess cruise and all of the slot play was on our card and basically billed to the room at the end. That was convenient but also made it real easy to gamble more than we planned 🙂

It is a cash in / ticket out system.  Then you cash in the printed tickets at the cashier for real money.

You can insert your seapass for them to rate your play,  but it's not needed.  And if there are any promos such as 'free play'

it will be loaded onto your seapass card and you access it with a pin# ,  which is usually set to your birthday.

If you want to use cash, you can choose to insert your Sea Pass card if you want to accumulate points.

Do you have any onboard credit from Celebrity?    We have always used our OBC (from Celebrity) to play in the casino.  You have to go to the casino cashier and ask for an amount from your OBC to be transferred over to your Sea Pass card and then you insert the card into your machine and can play whatever was transferred to your card (you will use a PIN to access the funds on your Sea Pass card).   If you transfer, say, $20 from your OBC to your Sea Pass card, you have to actually play the $20 on your machine(s) before you can cash out for actual cash.
