We have booked our first River Cruise with Riviera Travel in 2020. We leave from Budapest after 4 nights touring the city.  As we have to vacate the hotel around 11am when can we board our ship.  Will we be able to board around that time.

The cruise line will give you a boarding time.  If you can't board around 11 am, or if you can board but not get into your cabin, most cruise lines will allow you to leave your luggage so you can go sightseeing or have lunch.  Lunch may be available on the ship and the lounge may be open.  It depends on the cruise line, the port, and the itinerary.  Sorry I can't be more specific.

Embarkation times differ depending on the cruise line. I would recommend contacting your cruise line to get correct information.

Are you staying at one of the recommended hotels from your cruise line? If so there should be a meeting room where they collect the passengers staying there, collect their luggage, and shuttle you to the ship. If you booked independently you will have to check with the ship

I’m sure the ship will take your luggage. Most likely your cabin won’t be ready. Some ships serve lunch in the lounge, but if not plenty of nice places along the riverbank to sit and have lunch and relax.
