aussievc Posted August 1, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2019 I have 2 connecting balcony cabins on the Seaview (Med cruise 2020) and am wondering if the partition outside on the balcony can be opened up? RC Oasis, Liberty (Caribbean cruises 2015 & 2016) let us do it when we had 5 and 3 cabins booked next to each other. Also, RC Ovation (Australia 2017) let us with 3 cabins. Norwegian Star (Med cruise 2018) didn't allow the balcony partition to be opened on our 3 balcony cabins next to each other. Hoping someone has knowledge of MSC policy regarding this. reedprincess Posted August 1, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2019 Yes it can. No worries, ask your room steward. (Assuming you're not straddling a fire break, which is unlikely, but would be the same on any line).

The answer I got from Norwegian steward was they couldn't because it's part of the ship's structure. I thought to myself wouldn't this be the case of all cruise lines ships then? LOL NCL hasn't allowed it for quite some time. Roughly after the Princess balcony fire years back.
