flobo Posted August 1, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2019 We will be on first- ever river cruise in September. Though U River Cruises have millennials as target market (initially restricting ages of passengers to 21-45 year olds).. when age restriction was lifted, we booked the river cruise, being reassured by travel agent that we would not be the only old people onboard. But as the date draws near, I am feeling very uneasy about this trip. It would be good to hear from someone who has traveled on U River Cruises to know what the age demographic was and how well people outside the target age were received by fellow passengers and staff. Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted August 1, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2019 If you use the search function at the top of this forum and type in "U by Uniworld" [with the quote marks] and check 'this forum' as search area, you will find several threads which have some answers to your question. Here's one that's a good starting point: Cruise Critic on U by Uniworld
Rare Ritabob Posted August 3, 2019 #3 Share Posted August 3, 2019 Flobo, How old do you feel in your heart? Do you relate well with people in all age groups? Go. Have a great time and then report back. We've been wondering the same thing. 😁 Staff will not resent you, and the rest of the passengers...who cares what they think, you are probably just as active and interesting as the rest of the passengers. Rare Coral Posted August 3, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 3, 2019 (edited) There haven't been that many reviews on the river portion of this board. Please report back. Edited August 3, 2019 by Coral
AussieGirlKaz Posted August 24, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 24, 2019 I traveled with U in April and there was a wide mix of ages. Everyone got really well across the age groups and different lifestyles.
