Without Customs complications and/or traffic (notorious in Italy), this is probably true.  I propose that the question now becomes; how far in advance of the flight is one required to be at the Airport for Security purposes?

OP doesn't have a flight, they're going to a hotel.

I am only seeing one hotel listed for post cruise option Westin Excelsior,

Maybe O has cut back on the options  as there may not be many takers for the package deals now ?

You are absolutely right!  The Westin is the only choice of hotel post cruise.  Can't wait to stay there. Yes, I've read all the reviews pros and cons, etc.
