ETA shown as 22.45 tonight, that's unusual as well.

I think that is in Greenwich time, which would make it even earlier.

But she normally arrives early morning New York time so late morning/early afternoon Greenwich time.

Marine tracker shows it underway again, but heading north.  Maybe it's a software glitch

My Marine Traffic ETA shows "22:45 LT." As far as I know "LT" means Local Time.

My AIS seems to have QM2 pointing North but traveling West.  I doubt she is going sideways though.

A person on board reported on twitter that the one of the pods had to be looked at for some reason.  They came to an all stop, it was dealt with and they moved on.

There was a post on Instagram by @bob.colleen about 5 hrs ago that reported the ship had stopped dead in the water for about 3 hours, but that they were now back underway and would make NYC on time tomorrow morning.

I missed this incident with QM2 earlier today. Glad to hear the explanation for it.

 

But yes, the issue with marinetraffic showing her heading north instead of west is a known issue that has been happening for quite a while now. See this earlier thread on that topic.

 

 

Apparently marinetraffic sometimes drops a digit from QM2's heading, for example displaying her heading as 27 degrees (NNE) instead of 270 degrees (W).

as I write she is 6.7 miles from the bridge at 17.7 knots   eta times are almost always to the pilot station  eg eta Southampton @ 0345 is for the Nab

We arrived on time in Red Hook this morning—the delay yesterday did not impact our arrival.
