Very hard to find anything Australian. Last time I was looking found a good shop in the Strand with some, but none on the street shops. The quality was noticeably better as well.

Yeah but not at the cheap souvenir shops.  If you go to a specific tourist destination (eg, Maggi Beer's place in the Barossa) you;'ve got a chance of getting a locally made souvenir.
