The Premium PLUS package

Spoke with Captains Club today

This Prem + is offered on FOUR sailings only and only for NEW bookings on those 4 sailings who meet certain criteria (booked between 8/22-9/9) and other criteria will have the Prem Plus option in their cruise planners.

It is a straight purchase--cannot be upgraded from Classic (perk)

There is no indication/information as to when and how this will be offered elsewhere-other sailings outside of these 4

FWIW I had noticed on the cruise planner other "bundles" of bev/casino/wine tasting etc-- including some things that are "free" to certain levels of Captains Club members and some nice perks that I had not seen before.  Makes it a bit harder to determine value of bookings/comparing apples to apples

So thats the "tea" re Prem +

Thanks for explaining it - I couldn't find it on any of my cruise planners. I  do show a lot of the bundles -they do not look like they would be a good match for me at this point.

Here are a few:

Premier Pass:

@vtcruising

Some pretty interesting bundles aren't they.

The CC rep said that If one cancels a cruise (of the 4 included in this prem plus trial) and then tries to rebook and add the package--that the system WILL SEE the previous booking on that sailing and the prem + package will be denied.  Not sure if they just won't see it in their planner or if trying to buy it -it would be not completed.

Sounds like it is part of a promotion for the new bookings on those 4 sailings meeting certain reqs.

Interesting!  It feels like they are throwing a bunch of things at the wall to see what will stick. Some of these don't look like winners, but maybe some will be popular - they all look profitable for X. 🙂

The meal with officer, drinks with Captn/pic, wine pairing, inside access etc all sound fun

Clearly they are looking for potential and untapped revenue streams

Am I the only one who doesn't like the increasingly large menu of choices?  I know some like to have options.  But to me it is getting to be like Walt Disney World.  It used to be you could just go there, buy your ticket, and then enjoy your day going wherever struck you next.  Now you have to plan months ahead, explore a variety of ticket options, pre-book rides (but only a certain # and not first choice unless you are staying at one of their resorts) and on and on and on.  It kinda takes all the fun out of it.  So much planning - UGH!!  And trying to compare apples to apples??  Forget about it.  Oh well - it won't change, so I need to adapt.  But I don't need to like it😉

Would anybody know why they aren't putting the 20% service charge on the Premium Plus beverage package?  Will I then have to sign a slip every time I get a drink onboard??

That is strange as I definitely had the service charge bill on my one for 7-days ($140)

Did you complete the order?

I looked at cruise planner and the drink package I paid for was listed, then the service charges separately. Perhaps it doesn't show til you complete the order?? Odd

Does the fine print indicate the package INCLUDED service/grats?

If not, than I expect you will pay grats on drink orders, right?
