NJ&Ozzie Posted August 31, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2019 Hi all, Is there a shuttle that goes from Port Everglades cruise port entrance to your ship? We've seen this in say, Civitacchevia & other ports. Wondered if PE is the same? Thanks, NJ
shipgeeks Posted August 31, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2019 How will you be getting to the port entrance? I've never seen a shuttle (I could be wrong), but if being taken to the port by a friend/taxi/hotel shuttle, would they not just take you in to the terminal? CruiserBruce Posted August 31, 2019 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2019 Never seen of such a shuttle, and it hasn't been mentioned here. PE allows all taxis, Ubers, shuttles etc to go to the needed terminal. Rome does not...only specially permitted taxis can, for example. That is part of the motivation, I am sure. Plus many m ore people arrive at the gates of the port in Rome on their own. I don't sense many arrive at the port gates in PE by foot very often. A friend thought he could take a bus to the port entrance since he has such a small bag. I wasn't sure about that tho if there is no shuttle. FOPMan Posted August 31, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 31, 2019 There are no public shuttles that operate within Port Everglades. A bus from where? Broward County Transit has stops at Northport. Depending on what terminal you are at, it may be an easy walk, but there is a lot of vehicle traffic. See below for additional information. http://www.porteverglades.net/cruising/transportation/

Corby114 Posted September 15, 2019 #8 Share Posted September 15, 2019 FLL discontinued shuttle service to Port Everglades a few years ago. Prior to the stoppage they normally used the full size buses used to get passengers from one terminal to another. A cab from FLL is approximately fifteen dollars plus tip and the trip takes less than ten minutes. I have personally had some shuttle drivers quote me a price of fifteen to twenty dollars per person when they are in the process of dropping off passengers at FLL. I just wait in the taxi line for service to Port Everglades. Plenty of cabs and plenty of drivers.
