using princess gift cards

Shouldn’t matter. But if you are sure that you would use up all of the OBC that you would buy with those cards, I would use them in advance. That would reduce the possibility of losing or forgetting the cards or having them glitch out at the Service Desk to zero. Those odds might only be 1%. But if you use them in advance you lower that risk to nil. Also, if you use them in advance you don’t have to use them to buy OBC. You can use them to pay for Specialty Dining reservations, or excursions booked in advance or a coffee package purchased ahead of time. These are common things that we pre-book and which require payment in advance.

I have three princess gift cards to use on our next trip.  The cruise is paid for so should I buy on board credit now with them or wait until I board the ship? Does it even matter?

I personally don’t think it matters. Because every time I receive a gift card my wife knows just how to use them. 😳😁

So I'm on my cruise planner and I'm trying to purchase on board credit using the gift cards but the only payment options are using a credit card or paypal.  Am I missing something??

Incorrect info. Apologies.

You have to call.  It’s quick and easy! I bought $300 ($100 at a time) and could see each one show up in my personalizes seconds after she entered them.  I did it because I did not want to wait in line.  If it seems like I haven’t spent it all, I will cash out in the casino since it is all refundable.
