Anubi Posted September 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2019 Could we please hear from anyone who has done this? We were going to take a cab but research says that its close enough to walk, one poster said it was about 300 meters away. However, it appears that the walk takes you over some train tracks but closer examination of the picture suggests that its a tunnel.

It is super close (300 m sounds about right) and very easy to walk from the station to the cruise terminal. You are correct - there is a pedestrian tunnel. sddsddean Posted September 13, 2019 #4 Share Posted September 13, 2019 Assuming you are docking in Warnemunde, look at this map https://goo.gl/maps/bSELY3Y4715Fvdb47 You will dock by 'Hertz', walk parallel to the river, past the ferry and turn left up 'Am Bahnhof' which is the tunnel mentioned above. There are a few steps down and up https://www.google.com/maps/@54.177367,12.0915166,3a,75y,271.29h,69.44t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipNaMK5QW3xfpCqRWbfKMd2E2j1DgD6vE4K4uHF-!2e10!3e11!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipNaMK5QW3xfpCqRWbfKMd2E2j1DgD6vE4K4uHF-%3Dw203-h100-k-no-pi0-ya356.16876-ro-0-fo100!7i6544!8i3272 but you can't go through that open gate if you have to buy your tickets. It is a much longer walk than use of the tunnel - the map lists the distance as 1,200 m whereas the tunnel option is 450 m. (note: we have not utilized route C - we used the tunnel) https://www.rostock-port.de/en/accessible-travelling/cruise-terminal.html

jennywren46 Posted September 30, 2019 #9 Share Posted September 30, 2019 That was taken from our balcony. It’s really close to station and as someone else said there’s a tunnel underneath the railway line to get to the town ... it’s lively port 1
