Status use 3 year rules

Hi everybody 

 

Quick question 

Do I have BOOK a cruise within 3 years or actually TAKE a cruise within the 3 years' to maintain status? My card runs out in December 2020 but I'm looking to book for 2021.

You have to sail within 3 years of your last disembarkation date.

you have to actually cruise within 3 years, I had 4 cruises booked but my 3 years ran out just 1 month before the first of those cruises .

Our first cruise was April 2017. Status expires end of April 2020 while we will be on our second cruise. When I booked our april 2020 cruise I was able to get the 5% voyagers discount but the cruise will not add points and I will have to get a new membership to start accumulating points

I still would get a ten percent discount even if it expires since I am a veteran.

That is true if you book a balcony or higher. Oceanview and inside cabins get 5% with military.
