2020-Oasis-Port Liberty-Re-Pricing

Hi -

Just got an email this morning - with a new receipt from RCI for my 2020 Oasis cruise out of Port Liberty.

 

GONE were my discounts from when I originally booked - and GONE was the stateroom I picked - and now it just says GTY.

 

I am not happy.  I called customer service - and they said that "revenue" made the change, they took my phone number, and now I am waiting for a phone call back from "revenue".  Customer service said that no indication was put in the booking to state why the change was made.

 

So - go check your receipts and reservations!

Did you have one of the new cabins to be added during the dry dock?

I have the same problem

booked b2b same stateroom JS on Oasis

and now received a new invoice that shows GTY and my original stateroom is not available

That I do not know.

I booked a stateroom I had previously, because I liked the location - in Central Park.

Per the website - when trying to book this cruise on October 11 2020 on Oasis out of Cape Liberty -

 

 

They aren't booking any central park cabins.

 

Still waiting for a call from revenue - because, IF they give me all my discounts back - and/or reprice me to the current sale - I will be accommodating and accept the Central Park guarantee.

The sailing that affects me is the 2020-October 11th.

I thought it might be an issue with new cabins, but that doesn't seem to be the issue here.

So!  Update.

 

Received a call from Royal Caribbean - and "revenue" said the refurbishment of the ship caused my original stateroom to get re-categorized.

 

The agent found me another stateroom - a few doors down - and adjusted all the pricing back to the original.

 

Now - I'm back to being happy - and hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

 

Guess it pays to troll the sales and keep an eye on your reservations!

Hmmm interesting. I have the extra long central park balcony oct 25, 2020. It is paid in full, and i use a ta. Haven't heard anything. So no news is good news. Still showing my suite #  Thanks for the heads up tho.
