Bait and switch perks

This may help, I found it on an Australian cruise website:

 

"Want even more onboard extras?  Then pay a little bit more on the Early Bird Sale Plus fare and enjoy 2 included perks*.  Choose from US$150pp shipboard credit*, included wi-fi* or an additional US$150pp shipboard credit*.  If you want drinks included with your cruise pay a little extra and enjoy a classic beverage package* and one additional perk*. Plus, if you book a cruise departing after 2 January 2020 you’ll receive up to US$200 bonus shipboard credit per stateroom*.  Book a suite and get them ALL plus US$400 bonus shipboard credit per stateroom*. "

So the OP was counting on $300 USD OBC per person, hopefully they will come back & let us know how it worked out.

pretty obvious that cruise credit = OBC

Is it? May be to you only. Cruise credit normally means credit applies toward your cruise price like a discount.

I think you're right, not coming back.   I really would be interested to find out if they worked something out.
