Caribbean Chris Posted November 10, 2019 #27 Share Posted November 10, 2019 With full perks, we often have a lot of leftover nonref OBC at the end of the cruise. We’ve bought gifts for neighbors and family in the onboard shops like rum cakes (though I’ve been disappointed in the taste - they were so much better in Grand Cayman - so stopped buying them). Usually get some Grand Marnier. But we drive home from the port, so no packing issues. I’ve found some good quality designer leather bags in the shops - once bought a basic black briefcase-type tote I use a lot. In January on Edge, I scored an Alviero Martini 1 Classe handbag in the vintage map design - I really love it. People comment on it all the time. I never would have spent that much at home on a purse - the OBC seems like play money.

isdoo Posted January 29, 2020 #29 Share Posted January 29, 2020 Thanks for the tips. We have an awful lot to use so the casino might be an option. if as a suite guest we can get cash out to play the slots even better......

We weren't charged when we converted it for use in the casino. Is it something new? We use our OBC for photos, specialty restaurants, upgrade beverage package, and in the shops. We use our OBC for photos, specialty restaurants, upgrade beverage package, and in the shops. We were in a SS on Equinox last week and just cashed out some of our OBC through the slots. Downloaded $20 or $40, immediately cashed out and took the $20 or $40 ticket to the cashier and cashed it in. We also had pre-purchased some slot credits, $55 worth for $50. In that case you had to use the $55 and could only cash out the winnings. Every few pulls we cashed out until the $55 was gone. Prevented us from playing all the winnings.😜 mac_tlc

Rare calicakes Posted February 3, 2020 #34 Share Posted February 3, 2020 On our last cruise( Sept 2019) we had some NON refundable OBC. I used it on some expensive Chanel face cream that I've been wanting for a long time. I'm glad I got it. I love it so much. I told my wife(we're two women so we both use it) that we need to make it last until our cruise in December. LOL. We also used OBC for a tshirt that X was selling for the world wildlife foundation( 15.00) and for some excursions. We had 4 perks so we didn't need to use it for any drinks, etc.
