Free cruise offers come almost every month in the mail

This may be true for you.  If it is, congratulations.  However, it is my experience that the days of monthly "free" cruises has come and gone.  I used to get monthly (or even more frequent) offers for complimentary cruises both through snail mail and also in email offers but since the beginning of the last casino year (April 1, 2019), I have not had anything more than $300 off with the exception of a few pathetic offers for complimentary cruises on very short cruises on very old ships.

Nobody knows for sure what the recipe for casino offers really is.  I do believe, however, that the "monthly" offers are based on your "performance" on your most recent sailing.  Lately I have been doing much better (fewer losses) than in the past, so this may explain my poor offers.  I also believe that the RoyalUp program has affected the casino offers.  It could just be coincidence but it seems to me that at about the same time the RoyalUp program began, the casino offers and also the ability to upgrade complimentary casino offers very affordably, took a nose dive.

The complimentary annual cruise is a great + for the Club Royale program.  I am grateful for it.  It is, however, no longer possible for me, as a Prime member, to upgrade my complimentary interior room at a very big discount.  Yes, I do still save money when I upgrade my complimentary interior (over purchasing it "retail") but it is about 1/2 the % discount I used to get.

It actually takes about $1250 of slot playing to reach prime.  How long it will take depends on whether you are playing penny slots or $$ and

Do you frequently check for your offers in casino royale website?   We see alot of our offers in addition to the ones we get in snail mail.      We definitely have never gambled anywhere near $12500 but we usually do okay with casino slots.

We will play a little every night for fun and enjoy free drinks.  My Dh is already prime for next year and I need another 800 points which I figure I will get when we do a b2b in january for 19 nights.

Well...  if Prime, you have gambled that much, but maybe not spent that much. Prime is 2500 points. In regular slots (not video poker or table, which require a bit more money) 1 point is earned with $5 ran through the machines. So 2500 points is by playing $12500.00 through the machines.

Odd... I get offers multiple times a month for complimentary sailings. I am only Prime, but this year I got an inside to balcony upgrade for $73 solo on Mariner, $88 solo on Oasis that is coming up. I thought those were good deals. They have offered a few free upgrades to OV, but I am not interested in an OV room. All that extra light to wake me up, and no fresh air to compensate.

So, a question for the experts.  If you get 2500 points on one cruise to qualify for Prime, do you get the one free annual cruise, plus another free cruise for hitting 2400 points on one cruise?  In other words would you earn two free cruises? And as for the free cruises - is it Casino Royals ’s choice, or are you able to choose (outside of peak dates of course)

Yes, if you get 2400 points on one cruise, you get an Instant Reward certificate for a free interior cabin for two, for the sailings listed on the back of the certificate. Or you can use the trade in value of $500 on any cruise you select. Must be booked within 30 days and sailed within one year of certificate date. Once you accumulate 2500 points, you earn Prime and will get a cruise certificate at the end of the casino year, usually becomes available mid-April. Good for a free interior cabin for two on any eight-day sailing excluding major U.S. holidays. Hope that helps.

I am at Prime tier with RCL.  I get the $300 certificates on my account quite often.  I only book the free offers they send me and have never used the $300.  Am I missing anything and are they worth using.  When I call the Blue Chip Club, prices seen to be high using the $300.  Can I use the coupon on a on line deal at a good fare?

My advice is to budget how much you are willing to drop for entertainment and watch your points.  I had hit my budget on the last day but noticed I was less than 200 points from prime so I pulled out extra $$$ to get there.  I have booked my cruise off the certificate for interior and upgraded to balcony on Liberty next fall. The certificate saved me over $1300.  I will also get the prime cruise in April which should yield a higher savings since I can pick what I want.  I figure I got a good deal on “prepaying” for the 2 cruises with the additional investment.  Total investment was $700 and I had a lot of fun playing.
