bluemarble Posted November 11, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2019 I am on board QM2 as she sets sail on an eastbound crossing. Just received a letter in my mail slot outlining my benefits as a diamond Cunard World Club member. I thought it was interesting to note a voucher is no longer required to claim the complimentary lunch in the Verandah or dinner in the Kings Court Alternative Dining venue. Just phone for a reservation. Likewise no voucher is required to attend the wine tasting event. Just present your key card for admission. This represents a change since I was last on QM2 in July and thought it might be of some interest to mention it. Looks like they are still issuing individual paper invitations to the various cocktail parties.
Underwatr Posted November 11, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2019 Do they tell you somehow when the wine tasting event is held? I'm used to seeing an invitation.
bluemarble Posted November 11, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted November 11, 2019 The time of the wine testing event is listed in the letter explaining the benefits.
Ray66 Posted November 11, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2019 We got the vouchers for the free meal and wine tasting on our QE cruise 20th October-1st November.
Bigmike911 Posted November 11, 2019 #5 Share Posted November 11, 2019 While, I would relish Cunard's ability to keep track of Diamond Benefits, and not have to issue paper. The state of their web site suggests electronic tracking is a far stretch of their I.T. capabilities these days.
BigMac1953 Posted November 11, 2019 #6 Share Posted November 11, 2019 Three weeks ago, we had vouchers waiting for us when we boarded QE.
Summergee Posted November 11, 2019 #7 Share Posted November 11, 2019 We were QV in September and just presented our room cards in the Verandah. We were not charged.
Host Hattie Posted November 11, 2019 #8 Share Posted November 11, 2019 Thanks for the update, the voucher did seem a bit unnecessary. Have a great crossing
Rare LadyL1 Posted November 11, 2019 #9 Share Posted November 11, 2019 On QE now, and had vouchers for complimentary lunch and wine tasting. If they can go “green and paperless” for this, I certainly support the move. They must have enough technology to monitor this.
Pennbank Posted November 13, 2019 #10 Share Posted November 13, 2019 (edited) Although no vouchers are required, you will find that CWC have cut down on the benefits on a back to back Transatlantic crossing . With 1 complimentary dining and 1 drinks invitation compared to the two in previous years but Cunard do confirm 2 complementary 480mins of internet.in the letter.
