Craftyexnurse Posted November 20, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2019 I understand OBC can be used in the casino. If I deposit most of my OBC in the casino account are there any restrictions on cashing it out. Also is this affected on a B2B sailing?

When you cash out OBC in the casino, whether you place slot machines or table games, you will be given promotion chips or slot credits. These chips or credits must be gambled and cannot be redeemed for cash. As you play these credits/chips, anything you win will be paid in normal chips/credits which can be redeemed for cash. Each cruise sailing is it's own voyage. So you have to use the first leg's OBC before the end of the cruise or you will lose whatever is not used.
jelayne Posted November 20, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 20, 2019 Unused OBC does not carry over from cruise to cruise on a B2B. If it is non-refundable OBC then any unused OBC is forfeited at the end of the cruise. Refundable OBC that isn’t used will be refunded to the credit card associated with you on-board account.

catlover2027 Posted November 20, 2019 #5 Share Posted November 20, 2019 We used our Celebrity OBC but did not use all the OBC from our online TA through a misunderstanding. We were very surprised to get a refund from Celebrity for our TA OBC. . Has anyone else had that experience or was this just a fluke / mistake on Celebrity's part?? Luvsnorkeling Posted November 20, 2019 #6 Share Posted November 20, 2019 I just read on Celebrity's website regarding onboard credit that any unused OBC that you have purchased and used in the casino will be subject to a 5% handling fee when it is refunded. This is not true when it is used anywhere else on the ship.

Eileen Derrick That is normal for OBC from Agent. They are generally refundable. Easiest way to determine is look at your credits listed on your account the None Refundable will look something like OBR-ONB Credit - The R means refundable. Eileen Derrick This is not unusual. Most OBC coming from a travel agent is refundable if not used.

However, promotional chips purchased from OBC on the first leg can still be used on the second leg since Celebrity does not create separate chips for each cruise.
