Thanks for the comprehensive review OP. We are sailing in February.

question regarding vibe pass- I have heard it’s guest service for the pick up, but I think you said it’s at the social. Does anyone have a definitive answer?

Thanks!

We got off the Encore yesterday and it was Q. The past few sailings have been as well, it seems.

Q is for Vibe passes.

Social is for entertainment/comedy/shows/go-karts

Teppanyaki is for dining reservations

Hope this helps those who couldn't get definitive answers!

thank you so much for this reply! Did you get vibe passes? We don’t qualify for priority boarding, but plan to arrive at the port for 9:30 am, and are hopeful to get these passes for our group of six.
any tips will be appreciated

We did get them, yes. We had purchased Priority Boarding (can do so when you check-in to your sailing online in advance) and walked on with the Platinum/Platinum Plus crew. Boarded at the aft of the ship and speed-walked to Q all the way forward and got #'s 52-53. People who boarded regularly said they had no problem getting the passes as well.

Thank you for this information. How many passes are available, do you know?

seriously, thanks for taking the time to answer

We also got passes last week. I’m not sure if they even sold out. We talked to someone who got them the day after boarding. They crew member at the door of Q said they were selling 240 passes and contrary to what I had heard, we didn’t all have to be present to purchase them.

Not sure if anyone knows for sure, but I've heard between 250-300 on this ship. There was never that amount of people even remotely close to that at any time we were in the Vibe, which was daily and often.

Cigarette smokers have a smoking lounge on the Waterfront. You still need to go outside to access it, but it is enclosed and air conditioned with great views.

Hi there!  As everyone has said, this is an enormously helpful review!!

Just wondering - you posted some pictures of an outdoor smoking lounge.  Is this a cigarette lounge separate from the Humidor Cigar Lounge?  Or was it the Humidor lounge?  I ask because I couldn't find a cigarette lounge on the deck plans.  My husband loves smoking cigars, but has found that the Humidor Cigar Lounge has turned into a cigarette lounge on most ships, despite the rule that cigarettes aren't allowed (that rule is never enforced).  We are sailing on Encore in June and are tentatively excited by your pics that there is now a separate cigarette lounge!

Thanks so much!!

Yes. That was the cigarette smoking lounge on the Deck 8 Waterfront. That is the only location you can smoke cigarettes (other than in the enclosed casino smoking section for active players when casino is open). For the 3 days you are in port, the casino will open nightly around 9:00.

Thank you so much!!!  He is going to be so happy to know that the cigarette smokers have their own room and he can smoke his cigars in a separate space.  I know it sounds silly, but there really is a difference!

Much appreciated!

Miami. We have a problem.

Noticed land on the “wrong”

side of the ship. And crew on the bow taking down the signal line and putting up the wind sock.

It’s been a few years since I was on Breakaway. When you say “enclosed casino smoking section”, do you mean the area is a separate room or is it actually open? I ate at Le Bistro out in the hall last time and it smelled of cigarette smoke from the casinos. I was wondering if they actually closed off the area so the smell didn’t permeate the other parts of the ships belly area?  No offense to the smokers, I was one a long long time ago. I just find the ashtray smell can be a bit hard to deal with now and again.
