jka Posted December 8, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2019 Sorry to be asking so many questions but my go-to's - TA and the PI forum - haven't been super helpful. Looking for suggestions for our day on Raiatea. Any great beaches? Places just to chill? Snorkeling - although this is the last stop of the trip and we may be snorkeled out by then. Thanks! Nancy Some of the very best snorkeling will be on Tahaa accessed via Bruno. He keeps his boat next to the gas station which is next to where the ship will tie off. Bruno takes you all around Tahaa via his boat and the last stop will be the coral gardens drift snorkel. Click the link .... eng58 Posted December 11, 2019 #5 Share Posted December 11, 2019 We are also looking for something to do in Raiatea, we are not strong snorkelers, is there something you can recommend to do. Sounds like Tahaa is beautiful, are there other tours that take you out on the water?

Several Motu stops, spinner dolphins, some shallow snorkeling if you want, pearl farm (not retail), lunch included. Two person waverunners. We paid $250 but think he has raised to $300 per jet ski. He'll stay right with you snorkeling, getting down in the water next to you. Not only do you see some spectacular scenery in Tahaa but there is a visit to a vanilla and pearl farm- and the spectacular Coral Gardens. Coral Gardens is more challenging, as there is more coral to bob around in and possibly smash into. But ask to stay right next to Bruno and you should be fine. It's a not to be missed tour. (If you or anyone else is considering the Coral Gardens be sure to bring water shoes! It's a necessity.) One can never be snorkeled out- always something new and different to see! Salmn- Raiatea Jet sounds fantastic. Keeping the name for next time 🙂 Edited December 13, 2019 by Petoonya
