Suite Lounge Recap. I know, 11 pics, sorry...

SL is up in the VCL. It was added in the last drydock and was carved out of the old card rooms

20191206_070630.thumb.jpg.de5be16d8707e2b5b06fe7c9b4b4d0ff.jpg

Doors on the left have a horrible key card access. The door swings out, so you have to swipe and step back.

They really should move it.

Also, half the time it seemed like this lock was broken, so just pull if it does not open automatically

20191206_070704.thumb.jpg.5e16d58e73095f379cc26cc5a13daedf.jpg

The door on the right is much better

20191206_070655.thumb.jpg.6122b817e0c8cb0ec8ced1ebbe02b057.jpg

Empty here in the morning, but it rarely fills up

It's naturally segregated it seems. Pins close to bar, Suites further away

You can't make this stuff up🤣

The coffee bar, breakfast buffet, and app station

20191202_133318.thumb.jpg.0296a520789a48c32d0e93e347c931fc.jpg

Coffee is not available 24/7

And it's not open at all on turn around morning

It is a very nice perk, though

20191203_092038.thumb.jpg.b412d971a387b29ed84e4e72b85fe410.jpg

Coincidence, who knows.

Maybe it was a gift

20191202_133809.thumb.jpg.2b418bef4c46405c881a4013032e6d83.jpg

The venue is open 24 hours, but the Concierge is only there twice a day

Evening hours coincide with Happy Hour

20191202_133829.thumb.jpg.79042900b7a9365f5aa8d22c55674e3b.jpg

We played a lot of rummy in the late afternoon

Pay no attention to the name tag. This is definitely all about the suite life

20191205_170758.thumb.jpg.fb895f99e1ab074a1ae1c2186e3e8f55.jpg

Outdoor seating is nice

20191204_165225.thumb.jpg.5b9d7e220434d577519bdc1d9135ced6.jpg

The outdoor area used to be the staging area for the rock wall

The area was relocated to the former outdoor part of the DL

Good for some, not so much for others😉

If you can see them....

They can see you😉

Towel clips are a good thing😎

This is the smudge in the glass from earlier

There is no schedule to fix it

Pretty sure it's fairly complicated, and you would need time to remove and replace

Laura has an Advent Calendar that starts December 1 and counts down Christmas.🎄

Smarties and Truffles 🤣

It hung fine with a small magnet, which I  have since lost 😥

Well, that's about it. If this had been a Live, I could have answered questions, added food porn, blathered on about activities, etc..

I have a ton of pics left, but they are about the following week in our next door Promenade view cabins

Lots of stir fry pics😁

Christmas decorations

Hi:  GREAT cabin - we will be on the AOTS in a couple of weeks - we have cabin 1880 - I was trying to get a look at it  - but I couldn' t find the cabin itself - do you happen to know if cabin 1880 is anything like your cabin (I know it isn't as big), but I was wondering what to expect.  Thank you.

I have a pic of a similar one.

Will post later

Is coffee still available on turn around morning in the DL like it was last January? I only ask as I'll be aboard again in a few weeks.

I would be one of the ones on the "not so much" list.

According to Laura know. But she checked early

They hide the grounds catcher😂

Now it may be open later in the morning, we just went to Giovanni's where Rony makes an excellent cappuccino

Turn around day pics

One of the fun thing about turn around day is the ability to snoop a bit. I was able to get a few pics of the other three types of cabins on Deck 12 that morning. Keep in mind, I was walking down the port hallway, if you will be on the starboard side, just look for the mirror image on the deck plan

986332965_AOSDeck12.thumb.JPG.393f82c3adf9be0d0461f0ece82e066f.JPG

1864 - big but no suite (the starboard one is designated accessible)

I think they have 5 window panes, not quite a forward view, no half bath, no bunk room, and no suite privileges

I'm sure they are quite comfortable for 4 people

20191207_075820.thumb.jpg.8daecb4560da35b43504ea523ab1f59e.jpg

1860 - the forward cabin layout plus a pole

Who doesn't love a giant pole in the middle of their cabin

20191207_075836.thumb.jpg.de02332953e98af0e9e007e71b8b6cef.jpg

188? - the aft cabins with sitting area (aft of the new section only)

Now this is living for two people. Nice viewing area in lieu of the balconies on Freedom, see below

20191207_080035.thumb.jpg.e4456be2d3bab927d93daece05397641.jpg

Now the deck plans say both of these cabins are 191 sqft. I don't think that's true

You can see it when you walk the hallway. There is a jog of 2-3 feet somewhere around 1874

It is well marked on the Freedom plan. It also lists the OV's at 175 sqft😉

I probably would have measured that if I was doing a live report.

133451868_FOSDeck12.JPG.f4e669052590e6ab57740bf7982e2dc2.JPG

6660 - Accessible spacious balcony

Included just because it was across the hall from my next cabin

Did you enjoy the Suite Pinnacle party in Giovanni's?  I thought it was one of the best we've every attended.

The Suite Lounge needs those roll up and roll down curtains like the Oasis class ships have for the sun.

Suite party was nicer the first week than the second.

I ate a lot of sushi rolls

The filet and lamb chops were just to well done for my tastes.

Plus they had chocolate macaroons the first week

The blue thing is a margarita.
