MillerWRHS Posted December 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2019 We booked our cruise - 5 days from Miami March 18-23 - on Christmas (yesterday). Ports of call were Key West, Nassau, GSC, and Grand Bahama Island. Today, GSC was taken off the itinerary. Later today, depending on where I look, GBI is gone as well. On the app it shows as 2 sea days, but on the browser it shows a weird “overnight” at GBI but never an arrival time? Attaching photos. so it looks like we went from 4 POC to 2 with now 2 sea days. Not happy. I know it can happen, but it’s super disappointing and we have received no communication from NCL to let us know.
Rare BirdTravels Posted December 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2019 Grand Bahama has been removed from a lot of itineraries in the near term. I have seen sea days inserted and even a second call to GSC.
MillerWRHS Posted December 27, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted December 27, 2019 They got rid of GSC for sure. GBI still showing on main site but not on app. I understand GBI is still recovering. Why GSC would be taken off though is confusing me.
New2NSeaL Posted December 28, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2019 We booked this cruise a couple of weeks ago. I got an email from NCL about the cancellation of GSC which said it was due to a scheduling conflict. I have not got an email about Grand Bahama. Just looked at the itinerary in our cruise summary, and it looks just like it did the other day after we got the email about GSC - Key West, Nassau, Grand Bahama. Hopefully that holds! Not so much because I care for the ports, but because I was looking forward to everyone else getting off the ship and leaving it uncrowded during the day! Sauer-kraut Posted December 29, 2019 #5 Share Posted December 29, 2019 Isn't Grand Bahama Island still a mess from the hurricanes?

CILCIANRQTS Posted December 29, 2019 #7 Share Posted December 29, 2019 They reopened it VERY soon after the hurricane so people wouldn’t stay away, but perhaps they shouldn’t have. It’s a bit of a catch-22...they need the revenue to survive and rebuild.
stefmaia Posted December 29, 2019 #8 Share Posted December 29, 2019 (edited) GBI was torn asunder, and it’s extremely difficult getting supplies there, hopefully life will return to normal for them soon. cmarsh31 Posted December 29, 2019 #10 Share Posted December 29, 2019 Interesting because a bunch of Encore itineraries just added GSC for an additional POC.
