I agree with ginger and it can also be used on the ship to add to plug in availability. Very useful, I've had 1 for years great addition to your travel accessories.

We will be on the Norweigan Getaway on May 28th and never been to Europe before. Can anyone share what type of adapter we will need for our hotel and on the cruise!

The ship has US power.

If all of your devices are 240v compatible, you can get away with a plug adaptor on land (UK has a different outlet and needs a different adaptor)

Getaway's cabin/stateroom has a minimum of two 110 volts American outlet and two 220 volts EU outlets (round 2-pins) - which most find adequate to use (bringing one's own extension cord - without surge protection designed for shore power - is always a plus).

Looks like you are staying in Rome/Italy ... contact - call/email/message your hotel and ask them, as many upscale ones with updated outlets often provide USA style 110 volts receptable to plug in easily, without the need to bring an adapter.  Otherwise, the same & simple, round 2-pin adapter used on the cruise ship should work fine & perfect.

IMHO, those bulky multi-adaptor plug often do not stay plugged in and easily slipped & fall out/come loose from the walled outlet, due to its combined weight.  pro

Many global chains, including Marriotts, Ramada & Nikko provide - as a standard feature, for many years - multiple interfaces at a desk/wall panel or plate ... easy & almost fool-proof connection to ethernet ports, HDMI, USB and non-standard power (110 instead of 220v or vice versa) - clearly labeling or marking them.
