joanne2 Posted December 31, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2019 There is a thread that has a link to the wine list. There are quite a few wines by the glass.
Tedferg Posted December 31, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2019 I think your question is too broad and any answers would be subjective. For example, I drink red wine and believe the Robert Mondavi Cabernet at $12 would be fine for me. However, a fellow cruiser is very picky about Chardonnay and I am sure none of the Chardonnay by the glass would be acceptable to her.

Dorset Cruiser Posted December 31, 2019 Author #6 Share Posted December 31, 2019 Sorry all. Being daft and not reading the info about the package. Now seems it is just a few wines by the glass on the standard wine list as long as under $12 a glass. Been used to just a choice of 5 wines (not that good) on MSC and Fred Olsen. Yes I was going to mention the choices by the glass and bottles for that matter have dwindled over the last few years for some reason. Princess and wine just don't seem to go together anymore. RMMariner Posted December 31, 2019 #9 Share Posted December 31, 2019 Vines has a good selection. Pair it with sushi and/or tapas, and you can't go wrong.

Yes if it is in stock. We found many on the Vines menu were not onboard. 🙄
funmobl Posted December 31, 2019 #11 Share Posted December 31, 2019 Can some one tell me if there is a Vines on the Coral Princess?

No. The La Patisserie that you mentioned in the other thread is just the lobby bar for drinks and coffee/tea concoctions. The International Cafe is some sandwiches/desserts/coffee drinks etc.

Tedferg Posted December 31, 2019 #16 Share Posted December 31, 2019 I find it strange that Princess by-the-glass offerings are so few and mediocre. Wonder if this triggers a majority to buy bottles.

Which is crazy because Princess' profit formula is to break even on fares, and make its profit on selling extras. With the markup Princess has on alcohol it is certainly one of their prime profit generators. It is certainly an area where Princess should invest some effort. If as many people buy the BSE as it appears to be on these boards, finding a good wine by the glass (or bottle) may become more difficult.
