Was on Crown Princess for Xmas. They are issuing paper straws (only upon request), but at the same time plastic water bottles are EVERYWHERE. Go figure. My solution was to get off ship in St. Lucia, get a rum punch with a plastic straw, and carry it around with my for the rest of the cruise. The paper ones seem to disintegrate quickly. Pick it up at a bar or restaurant and bring it back to your cabin. So, if we drink the water bottles / cans that are in the stateroom upon arrival, are we charged extra? If there are water bottles/ cans in the mini frig and we drink them, are we charged extra even if we have a drink package?
Rare cruisestitch Posted January 14, 2020 #28 Share Posted January 14, 2020 Yes to both questions. The State room mini bar is not included in your beverage package. You need to pick up waters at a bar and take them to your room if that’s where you want to consume them.
Fouremco Posted January 14, 2020 #29 Share Posted January 14, 2020 We just get into the habit of picking up a couple of bottles of water from the nearest bar each time we head back to our cabin and popping them in the fridge.
VitaminSea53 Posted January 14, 2020 #30 Share Posted January 14, 2020 So when you arrive, do you have the room Stewart remove all the waters (and other beverages) that are on the counter and in the frig - so you know what is free to drink? Fouremco Posted January 14, 2020 #31 Share Posted January 14, 2020 Yes, we have the fridge emptied and then use it for drinks we've brought to the cabin.
Rare cruisestitch Posted January 14, 2020 #32 Share Posted January 14, 2020 There’s a tag on the neck of the bottles that are sitting on the counter showing the price. You aren’t likely to miss it and grab one of those bottles by mistake
