Taking our first back to back next week on the Magic, upon our return first week do we have to disembark or do we get to stay on ship.

Disembark. Do you have the same cabin both legs? If so bags can stay so no need to pack and unpack!

Highly subject to the ship and the whims of whoever appears to be in charge (like most things cruising). I've seen vlogs where B2B passengers were all herded into the dining room until boarding started for the 2nd leg and then were allowed to go to their room (same cabin and not required to pack). This was only a couple of months ago.

Your experience may be different than others.

You will debark, go through Customs and return to the ship for a group photo and complementary Mimosas.

Sean is correct.  Anything like a free drink, photo, fruit basket, wine etc is purely done on the whim of the Hotel Director.  Some are generous, some are not.  There is no standard.  There could also be a difference between someone booked on a suite and someone in an interior

not always, definitely not the same as guests ending their cruise. We have done it both ways. We have met other B2B in the MDR and given mimosas and escorted off the ship and did a cursory C&I check, new S&S card and back on the ship. On a Journey B2B there were 100 Diamonds and Platinums and we all met in the showroom, 4 customs agents were on the stage. They called Diamonds first and then Platinums alphabetically. It did take about an hour until we got our new S&S cards. It was not stressful at all.

Near the end of your first cruise you will get a letter that will explain the whole process. Most times you will be told to meet in the mid ship dining room at a certain time. They will take your old card, zero all the B2Bers off the ship,  then give you your new cards. They will also give you your old cards back. Once everyone else has left the ship, the B2Bers will be led off the ship to customs/ immigration where you will present your passport/ id. You then will be led back on to the ship where a group photo will be taken and free mimosas or other drinks will be served. You will now have the ship to yourself for 30 to 60 minutes. Just be aware that the bars won't be open until the new passengers begin boarding.

Sometimes if the B2B group is large, customs / immigration will come on the ship to process everyone. Ymmv.

It's kind of an eerie hour, as Jammin says everything is closed. We hung out in the Serenity area and since it was a B2B our favorite bartender came over to our chairs and said "the bar is open"
