helene109 Posted January 8, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2020 We usually do the drink package but my son will just turn 21 before we cruise! How can we bring energy drinks? Problem is my husband usually has a few sugar free ones a day! This is for a 7 day cruise!
KScruisinnurse17 Posted January 8, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2020 My husband brought 2 four packs of SF rockstars on his carry on for our 7 day cruise. We didn't carry on soda.
Markmom18 Posted January 9, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2020 For my Dream Cruise, out of NOLA last March, I bought 12 individual cans at a local corner market. That’s all they had, but they were a 2 for $ price. Still much cheaper than onboard! I put them in a cloth grocery bag and carried them on. The Carnival security took them out, all was good, then put them back in the bag, and I boarded. I will be buying local Red Bull’s in NOLA for my March cruise this year too. 🛳🛳 Bobbi

jdemps Posted January 9, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2020 AS long as they fall into the Carnival carry on non alcs rules, bring them with you. The energy drinks I see in the stores are often larger than the 12 oz limit per can but I think you can search for those in advance and maybe pack them with you before you get to the port destination. I don't know if a c-store would have the small cans except maybe red bull. I've started using something called zipfizz and it's great for energy and comes in a powder you just mix into a water bottle. The grapefruit one is great with vodka too! Instant mixer in my purse! Good Luck and have a great trip!
stetucke Posted January 10, 2020 #6 Share Posted January 10, 2020 I put them in my checked luggage and they show up in the room when the bag is delivered.
tap_out Posted January 11, 2020 #7 Share Posted January 11, 2020 We have always carried on. Think the most we have ever brought on was 3 4 packs of the 16oz cans. I hate Red Bull and enjoying mixing vodka with the different Monster Flavors .
Purvis1231 Posted January 11, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 11, 2020 I notice they do not closely check the size of the energy drinks. I saw several people with 16 and 20oz. ( I am not advising that since you may get "johnny of the spot" security who tosses them.)
