Cádiz or Cordoba?

My ship, the Azamara Pursuit, will be docking for 3 nights in Seville and on one day they offer excursions to Cádiz or Cordoba. Which would you choose and why?

Cordoba.  There is no comparison.

 

The Mosque-Cathedral is one of the most spectacular buildings in Europe.  The Alcazar is beautiful.  The old city is lovely with the most iconic patios in Spain.  I may run out of superlatives describing it, but they are not enough.

And I really enjoy Cadiz. It is a great port city, but it does not come close to Cordoba.

We did a motorhome tour in Spain & Portugal last September and October spending a few days in both Cordoba and Cadiz. Have to agree with the comments above, Cadiz was lovely but Cordoba is on another level. Another vote here for Cordoba.

Cordoba by far!  Much more interesting city, but do check free time in each city as they are both readily accessible from Sevilla by train (renfe.es). Cordoba is about 45 minutes by train and Cadiz about 1h 40 mins.

A bit late to the thread, but another vote for Córdoba.  Cadiz is lovely and I keep meaning to go for another weekend, but the Mezquita in Cordoba, the torta patata and the aubergines make it a no brainer for the choice between Cordoba and Cadiiz

The British call berenjenas by their French name, aubergines, instead of eggplant.
