Port or starboard for Ocean Cay

Starboard is the side (forward) you want to be on to watch the light show from your cabin. Also, being located on a high deck may be of some benefit. This past December we were on deck 18 in the YC and had a perfect view of the show. The light show BTW was between about 9:30 and 10:00 (two different shows are presented a few minutes apart). Since this was our last night on the ship we had to pack, so we decided to stay onboard. Obviously, the best view is probably from the shore.

Our cabin was on port side.  We watched the light show from Deck 8 (Seaside) walkway.

Even though we said we will book starboard next time, for this reason, I have to say that looking out at the tiny islands on port side, both daytime and night, was very cool, as well.

Thanks all for the great information.

We are wondering if the side the ship docks on Ocean Cay is specific to the ship.

As just called MSC and they said the Seaside docks on the Port (left) side of the ship.

Thanks all.

Just off two Seaside cruises; we were docked with Starboard side along the island both times.

All ships dock starboard to the island at Ocean Cay. It's not something that varies, given the channel the ships have to traverse to dock at all.
