Bob Bob Posted January 29, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2020 Has anyone ferried from St. Kitts to Nevis Island? What was the cost & where do you get dropped off at?
evandbob Posted January 29, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2020 There's usually an excursion that will have a few snorkel stops along St Kitts before dropping you off on the beach near the 4 Seasons resort on Nevis for swimming and lunch. Then there's the public ferry if you are so inclined : http://www.discover-stkitts-nevis-beaches.com/st-kitts-nevis-ferry-schedule.html
Rare jimbo5544 Posted January 29, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2020 (edited) We have done both an excursion with snorkeling and a beach break on Nevis and also a ferry transfer which leaves from Raegae beach. The drop off was by the 4 seasons resort as was the beach break on the excursion. Edited January 29, 2020 by jimbo5544

Snorkeling was GREAT, swam with many sea turtles and rode one that was at least 400 pounds. After snorkeling, we boarded back on the boat and headed over to the Nevis beach. The music was playing and the booze was flowing, over to Nevis, on the beach there and the return. The crew really got into dancing with some of the guests on the return. I have some pics in one of my reviews from a Vista sailing if you want to see them.

PAcruiser19372 Posted February 3, 2020 #9 Share Posted February 3, 2020 Wow! And the company that provided the snorkeling allowed this? I'm both saddened and amazed anyone would do that.

PAcruiser19372 Posted February 11, 2020 #11 Share Posted February 11, 2020 I'm thinking of Calabaza in Barbados that wants you to use certain sunscreen to protect the turtles and they do not allow you to wear flippers while in the water around the turtles. Glad to see it wasn't just me!
FlyingBlackBunnyOfDeath Posted February 17, 2020 #12 Share Posted February 17, 2020 Last time we were in St. Kitts we took the public ferry to Nevis. The ferry is just to the west of the dock, maybe a couple of blocks away, and was something like $10 per person I think. The trip was about 45 minutes and took us to the pier at Charlestown. There were plenty of taxis waiting there and we hired one to show us around the island. We prefer doing our own thing rather than go on a ship or group excursion and this was one of our favorite port days ever. We kept our time in Nevis a little short, just to make sure we had time to get back to the port but we had plenty of time to make several stops for photos, visit the botanical gardens, and have a nice lunch of goat stew.
afamnheidi Posted June 16, 2020 #13 Share Posted June 16, 2020 Who on earth thinks its OK to "ride" an endangered sea turtle. #1 its illegal. #2 its immoral.
TTEllis Posted June 17, 2020 #14 Share Posted June 17, 2020 Love this thread!! Riding a sea turtle, sounds to me like someone's been watching too many reruns of Aquaman.
