SG65CB Posted February 1, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2020 (edited) I have been looking at all-inclusive options including resort day passes. I saw day pass excursions for Allegro and Occidental resorts that both said that alcohol is not available before noon, by law. I can't find any other information on this, wondering if it applies to all beach clubs or only hotels/resorts? We were planning to go to all-inclusive from 9 to 1 so this would be a major consideration. I haven't seen this listed elsewhere and am wondering about the details of this law. Edit - we will be there on a Friday, although the note on the excursion didn't make any distinctions based on day of week. JohninDC Posted February 1, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2020 We were at Paradise Beach last year and had no issues ordering drinks and beers before noon. We were on the PAYG plan there, not the AI option.

It appears clubs and bars can apply for an extension ( whether they have is another question). Barcelo (Allegro and Occidental) at least in Cancun seem not to be serving. Although it is supposed to be 11 local time. Maybe confirm with resort direct? http://allinclusivegal.com/new-liquor-laws-go-into-effect-at-resorts/ There was a previous thread if you can get the search engine to co-operate.
