erinsmom03 Posted February 15, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2020 Has anyone else seen the same thing I have today? I'm looking at Harmony July 2021 cruises, and there are overlapping Western Mediterranean itineraries! Very confusing! Is this real? It looks like some people board the cruise ship in Barcelona for their 7 night cruise and then other people board in Rome for their 7 night cruise. I've never heard of this before! gatour Posted February 15, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2020 I haven't heard of Royal Caribbean doing this, but other cruise lines have.
Rare h20skibum Posted February 15, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2020 Not unusual for some of the European cruises.

Rare little britain Posted February 15, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) It’s called Interporting and RCI have done it for at least the past 5 years on their European season. Some people board in Rome and the majority board in Barcelona. It works very smoothly. MSC regularly do this and they have people boarding and disembarking every day. It only works, of course, when the ship does the same cruise week after week. It makes it far easier for you to fly to the port that offers you better Flights or cheaper flights or easier connections. erinsmom03 Posted February 15, 2020 Author #6 Share Posted February 15, 2020 Thanks, Little Britain! This is a new area to me, our first European cruise will be July 2021. We already have the 12 night British Isles booked on Jewel of the Seas. Now I'm debating between exploring a couple cities on our own before the BI cruise, or another cruise before it...
