Using onboard credit in casino

I have a upcoming cruise on the Summit and with different perks etc .. we have about $600 onboard credit. Since we have all 4 perks included and all our port stops are repeats for us, I am wondering if we can use the OBC in the casino? Do I just go to cashier and charge $$$ to my room ? Or is there a different way to use it on the sea pass card in machine? Thanks in advance.

Yes you can use it in the casino.  You go to the cage and tell them how much you wish to gamble.  They load that amount on your seapass card as promo credits which can then be transferred to the machines.  You can't cash out the promo money but you can cash out any winnings.   If you want to you can also pre-purchase casino credits using OBC on your cruise planner with a 5% bonus.

Thanks, for the quick reply. Will my husband be able to use the OBC for table card games and Roulette?

Yes, you can use OBC for table games. Go to the cashier and you will be given promotional chips to bet (you cannot cash these out). If you win a hand, you will be paid with "real' chips that can be turned into cash.

Yes... go to window and they will give you promotional chips (different color) when you win you get regular chips which can be cashed out.   Promotional chips can not be cashed out for cash.

Hi, I think that you will find that in your cruise planner under internet and more, I think, you can buy casino slot credits and casino table credits in $50 batches which will each give you $55 ie 10% extra. There is a maximum of $500 per person. I always do it. If you take it in slots between you and cash out every time you win there is a good chance you will have at least $350 in vouchers which you can cash in and put in your pocket.

We had a different experience on Equinox a couple weeks ago. We would charge to our sea pass account from the slot machine and were able to cash out the entire amount. Download $20 or $40, hit cash out, take ticket to cashier, get $$$. We were in a suite so I Believe that is why we were not charged the 5%. Did it on a couple different machines.

The credits we purchased pre-cruise through the cruise planner were promo $$ and needed to be used and could not be cashed out. Any winnings could be cashed out.

I was able to do the same thing on Equinox last week - and I wasn`t in a suite. We went to a slot machine - charged it $50 to our sea pass (using  our non-refundable obc) and gambled for 5 minutes, came out even and cashed the whole thing out. We weren`t charged anything extra.
