SG65CB Posted February 29, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 29, 2020 In case you are trying to decide if you want Paradise Beach All-Inclusive or Pay-As-You-Go, here are photos of the food menu, drink menu, and taco truck menu with prices - as of 2/21/2020. (Click on a photo for larger view.) Pay-As-You-Go: When you arrive a host will take you to the beach and let you pick out chairs, you can sit in the sun or in the shade. You'll pay the host $3 per person and agree to spend at least $10 each. You will have a waiter who will bring you food and drinks all day, and run a tab. The waiter will also go to the taco truck to get tacos for you. At the end of the day the waiter will present your check and you can pay with cash or credit card. A credit card will have an automatic 20% gratuity added. Even with PAYG you can purchase a pass to give your kids (or you) access to the inflatable water park, kayaks, and paddleboards. Cozumel is on Eastern time. The place emptied out about 3:00 PM. Our ship (out of Galveston) was on Central time so we had another hour. There were 5 ships in port including the 6,000 passenger Harmony of the Seas but the place was not overcrowded. There were a lot of people, but still plenty of empty chairs.

I loved the tacos from the taco truck. I had the blackened mahi and the spicy garlic shrimp. The kayaks are included in the $18 "fun pass" fee which also includes paddleboards and the inflatable water toys. I don't think you can rent them separately. They have a guy who will set you up with life jackets and paddles and give you instruction if you want.
JohninDC Posted March 1, 2020 #8 Share Posted March 1, 2020 Taco truck is great, and the Nacho Supreme with chicken is great, and big enough for two to share.

petuniaflower Posted March 10, 2020 #12 Share Posted March 10, 2020 Is the water typically clear at Paradise Beach? Also, can the $18 be used towards the $10 fee? Not sure if we will eat there, so if the kids just get a drink they will be under $10, but if they get the water toys and it can go towards the fee that would be great. And does anyone know if the water is deep by the water toys?

And does anyone know if the water is deep by the water toys? Usually “clearish” if there isn’ an El Norte. Not sure if fee can be used, but $10 are additive ie party of 4 - $40 per party not necessarily $10 pp not difficult with a couple of drinks per person or a shared snack. water is quite deep to make it safe for jumping/falling off equipment.
